Block-level Tiering
Moving blocks between the various tiers to increase performance where hot blocks and metadata are kept in the higher, faster, and more expensive data storage tiers, and cold data blocks are migrated to lower, less expensive ones. Lacking full context, these moved blocks cannot be directly accessed from their new location. Komprise uses the more advanced file-level tiering.
