Job Summary:
We are seeking a Pre-Sales Systems Engineer to join our dynamic team in Texas. This role involves designing, implementing, and supporting solutions that manage data across public and hybrid cloud environments. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in computer science fundamentals, experience with cloud infrastructures, and a passion for working on innovative data management solutions. The individual MUST RESIDE in the Houston, Dallas or Austin area.
Key Responsibilities:
- Provide technical pre-sales engineering support. Become an expert on the
deployment of the Komprise SaaS solution. - Present and develop technical material, size and spec-out proof of concepts and
drive them to a quick and successful completion. - Solve customer-specific issues or when necessary, work with engineering to
resolve them. - Train partners and develop training material.
- Provide post-sales support when required.
- Intelligent Data Management: Optimize designs for scale-out, performance, and
cost, ensuring efficient data management at massive scales. - Customer Collaboration: Work directly with key customers as required,
understanding their needs and delivering tailored solutions. - Partner Collaboration: Work closely with channel and technology alliance
partners developing opportunities, collaborate on campaigns and deliver
integrated solutions. - Host Technical Sessions: Host technical sessions about new industry data
management automations across multiple sites, on-premises and cloud, and
vendors including the latest advances in data movement, AI and more.
Required Qualifications:
- 3+ years of experience as a sales engineer and selling an enterprise product is a
must. Selling storage or data management products is a real plus. Or 10+ years
as an end user managing IT infrastructure. - Strong technical degree. Computer Science or Engineering preferred and a
curiosity and inquisitiveness for new technologies and the courage to try them
out. - Ideal candidate will have hands-on experience setting up and experimenting with:
Windows systems, Windows active directory, virtualization, File systems (e.g.
Windows File Server, NetApp, EMC etc.), WAN simulators. - Ability to communicate well and provide crisp succinct presentations that are
easy to understand and clearly express the benefits and advantages of the
solution they are selling. - Enjoy working with customers and partners; outgoing, approachable personality.
