Job Summary
We are looking for a hands-on Implementation Engineer to own the end-to-end deployment of Komprise solutions at customer sites. You will be the bridge between Sales, Support, and Engineering, translating business requirements into production-ready architectures and ensuring every customer goes live smoothly.

This is a high-impact, customer-facing role where you will work directly with enterprise IT teams, design deployment plans, configure complex storage environments, and drive successful onboarding. Key Responsibilities

Deployment & Customer Onboarding
• Lead end-to-end implementation of Komprise solutions for enterprise customers, from initial scoping and discovery through go-live and handoff to Support.
• Design and architect deployment plans tailored to customer environments spanning NAS, object storage, cloud (AWS, Azure, GCP), and hybrid configurations.
• Configure and deploy Komprise Directors, Observers, and Proxies across on-premises and cloud infrastructure.
• Conduct pre-deployment discovery sessions to understand customer storage landscapes, data workflows, migration requirements, and compliance needs.

Cross-functional Collaboration
• Work closely with Sales Engineering and Customer Success during the pre-sales phase to ensure a smooth transition from POC or trial to production deployment.
• Capture field insights and relay product feedback to Engineering and Product Management to influence the roadmap and reduce deployment friction.
• Partner with the Implementation Specialist (Deployment Lead) on complex or escalated deployments requiring senior technical oversight.

Process & Documentation
• Develop and maintain implementation playbooks, deployment checklists, and best-practice documentation for repeatable, scalable deployments.
• Drive continuous improvement in implementation processes, tooling, and automation to reduce time-to-go-live.
• Troubleshoot deployment-related issues involving Linux, networking, NFS/SMB protocols, DNS, Active Directory, and firewall configurations.

Required Qualifications

• Experience: 5+ years in implementation, professional services, solutions engineering, or customer-facing deployment roles supporting enterprise software or SaaS platforms.
• Linux & Networking: Strong hands-on expertise in Linux system administration and networking fundamentals including TCP/IP, DNS, VLAN, routing, and firewall rules.
• Storage Protocols: Solid working knowledge of NFS and SMB/CIFS protocols and enterprise storage architectures including NAS (NetApp, Dell EMC) and object storage (S3-compatible).
• Cloud Platforms: Practical experience with cloud storage services on AWS, Azure, and GCP and deploying software across hybrid cloud environments.
• Identity & Access: Familiarity with Windows Active Directory, LDAP, Kerberos authentication, and permission models in multi-domain environments.
• Scripting: Proficiency in Shell, Python, or PowerShell for automating deployment tasks and building repeatable tooling.
• Project Management: Ability to manage multiple concurrent customer implementations, set expectations, and deliver consistently on timelines.
• Communication: Strong written and verbal communication in English; comfortable leading technical workshops, whiteboard sessions, and executive status reviews.
• Education: Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Engineering, Information Technology, or equivalent practical experience.

Preferred Qualifications

• Virtualization: Experience with VMware vSphere, Hyper-V, or other hyperconverged and virtualization platforms.
• Certifications: Cloud or storage certifications such as AWS Solutions Architect, Azure Administrator, or GCP Professional Cloud Architect.
• Data Management: Prior experience in data migration at scale, data lifecycle management, or tiered storage optimization.
• Tooling: Exposure to ITSM platforms (ServiceNow, Jira Service Management) and observability tools (Grafana, Datadog, Splunk).
